The next midterm I (and only I) had an essay test. I completed the test and turned it in. The next class period the rest of the class received their graded tests. I did not. Nor the next class period nor the next. Finally, at the end of next class period, I confronted him. I told him I wanted my test back now. He said it wasn’t graded but he would grade it now if I insisted. We went to his office where I waited outside while he “graded” my test. After a while his office mate went into the office and I could here them laughing and talking. I knocked on the door. When he opened the door I said I wanted my graded test. She did sue me and with attorney’s fees I finally got about 2900.00. It was all still a mystery to me until one day I called the attorney on another issue and in casual conversation about the former law suit he said that the woman had no less than 3 different lawyers during the course of it (they kept quitting on her) and went “bat shit crazy” in the courtroom and had to be taken out when it was revealed that the policy had originally listed her as beneficiary. Some might say that my daughter’s heart has been hardened by her first experiences with the “real world.” I’d argue that it’s not her heart that has been hardened, but her eyes that have been opened. The university does this scheme for a few reasons. The first is to make it seem like the program is ‘competitive’. If everyone passes, then maybe it is too easy. The second reason is to cram in extra tuition fees. Once you drop out, they keep your money. It’s a bit crowded for a month or two, but when midterm grades come out, 15% of students drop out in November. Then another 15% drop out when 1st semester grades hit the fan. If you’re lucky, both of your roommates might even drop out, and you get the room all to yourself! That was it.. I got up ignoring the pain went straight at him and now this guy realized he was in deep shit and started running towards the principal's office. I chased him down hit him with the hockey stick broken his teeth and all this happened in front of the staff room. The female staff were tnot ready to intervene as they feared for their own safety and were trying to get some male staff member to come and step in.
