As a Seuss aficionado, I must say that these live-action Grinch skits and events, while amazingly performed, are horrible. They emphasize the wrong elements of the Grinch mythology. I'd heard stories for years about Mr. Lee's struggle in class. It seems that one day near the end, he finally snapped. During a music period, my oldest son witnessed a fellow fifth grader taunting Mr. Lee.. The child was sent to the principal's office but another student started acting out immediately afterwards.
